band on finches leg

I purchased 2 finches today, 1 society 1 zebra for the 2 birds I have.  They have bands on the leg I am worried they will get caught on something.  Any way to get these off?

Don't worry about the band. You stand a better chance of breaking their legs trying to get the band off than them getting it caught on something. Besides, the band contains important information like when they were born.
However, if you are insistent, take them to a vet to get it removed safely. The vet stands less of a chance breaking a leg than you do.
