should i remove the nest

WE have a pair of Zebra Finches that just fledged 2 babys.We have read we should give the parents time between clutches . If we remove the nest will that stop the egg laying? If so how soon should we remove the nest? Thank you

The nest may discourage them to nest but I find that it won't stop them. Some will start laying in dishes or just let them fall to the floor. What I find is just letting them have the nest and when they have eggs take them away and give them dud eggs (made by sticking real eggs in the fridge for overnight). You let them have the duds for roughly two weeks and then take them away. You repeat this process until you believe they are ready for another clutch
