Finch cage

I have read many topics on this and have gotten many different answers. Someone gave me 2 Zebra finches they are in a small cage. They seem find what size cage should they be in? Also some say you can put them by a window is that true?

30 inches long, by 18 inches high and 18 inches wide is adequate for two finches. And you can put them by an open window as long as the window does NOT open. One, breezes can make your birds sick and two, they might escape from their cage and out the window. Sun light is actually just as good for birds as it is for humans.
