Purple Finch

I have a nest on my back porch and it appears to be a Purple Finch.  The babies (4) hatched about 1 week ago.  The mother and father appear to be taking care of them very well.  Is there any type of food we could put out for the adult birds to help and how long is it for the little guys to take flight.

The best thing to do is to take out anything where the seeds are too big. The website provided had perfect food for fledglings when they're learning to eat. A good idea would be to add some vitamin powder to the food just to make sure that both parents and babies are getting all they need
