Finches Eggs

I have two finches.  Just before thanksgiving they layed four eggs. Since then they Have layed five more eggs, why want the eggs hatch, and why are they laying so many eggs?  What Is the problem?  They both take terms sitting on the eggs for the most part.

Are you sure that the two are male and female? Have you seen them mating or doing any sort of "mating dance"? If you haven't then it's more than likely because the eggs aren't fertile and are duds. Give it sometime. But remember to ask yourself, are you prepared for the responsibility those babies bring?
