gouldian finches

Hi there, I have 4 gouldians in an aviary, my female was eggbound ( first timer ) she successfully passed the egg on the floor, but the other female has eaten the egg, can you tell me why and wht should I do?? please help

Little you can do about that except take away her eggs. Unfortunately, Gouldians make terrible parents most of the time (very rarely do my gouldians care for their own young). She more than likely ate her eggs because she is too young. You can try again when she gets a little older but that's about it
