Finch death

Question
Hey there,
I've had my 2 female Zebra finches for around 5 years now and sadly one of them passed away recently. The where both from the same family and would occasionally squabble but other than that got on find (The more dominant of the two was the one who sadly passed away.) I was just wandering if it would be wise to try and introduce another finch to keep her company. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Unfortunately no, introducing one finch to your elder would not be a good idea. Finches only live around 6 years so introducing a young finch to your older finch will cause depression in your young one once the older one passes away.
I would suggest getting two finches for your elder so that even after your elder passes away the depression won't kill your other two.
