Wild Finch hurt by cat attack

Question
My neighbors cat carried a finch in to the home, she didn't know it at the time but she found feathers all over. when she turned the light on there it was, she thought it was dead so she went to scoop it up and it started trying to get away.
Make along story short, I have brought the bird into my home, it is currently sitting in a laundry basket (round short no lid) I put a scoop on niger seed and a Tupperware cap of water in it.

The tail feathers are gone, one wing looks odd (but then I am not an expert) there does not appear to be any blood...what can I do to help it heal successfully and set it back out. There is no hurry on my part. I want to see it live

Answer
Unfortunately, there is very little you can do for a wild finch. I would take it to an avian vet and have them care for it or tell of you a place that cares for wild birds if I were you.
You can try to care for it yourself but you will need the following:
a cage
heat lamp (like the kind used for reptiles) kept around 32C
fortified finch food
water
water syringes (without the needle at the end)-in case the bird won't drink
and POSSIBLY baby bird formula-this is in case the bird won't eat

However, I STRONGLY recommend you take the bird to a vet
