Zebra Finch and Society Finches

Question
Hi,
I recently adopted one zebra finch (I think male) and three society finches (sex unknown) from a friend. They are all less than a year old.  Overall, they seem to get along OK with each other.  However, the three society finches often sit together, in a group, with the zebra by himself on a different perch or farther down the same perch.  I'm wondering if he needs a second zebra to keep him company or if I'm better off leaving well enough alone.  I have seen the zebra interact with the other finches, looked like they were mutually grooming each other, and he does sit with them at times.  But, it's just that I do see him alone and apart from the other three often, hence my question. Thxs in advance for your help!

Answer
You can leave well enough alone but I would get him a girl just so he has company. Male zebras I find will often bicker with eachother. So have a female and be prepared to possibly separate the zebras from the societies if the male gets territorial. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen
