Snake obesity

Hello there, I currently have a 3ft female ball python. I feed her one small rat every 7 days. Im wondering though if she is getting a little fat, she can still make an "S" formation well but Im starting to see the skin inbetween her scales. And Im wondering if I should start feeding her every 10 days. Get back to me when you can and I appreciate your help.

  Can you send me a pic of your snake so I can take a look. I think your feeding schedule is fine. On the other hand, if your girl is getting a little chubby, 10 days between feedings will not cause any harm. My BPs are on a 2-3 week schedule. They are very hearty.
