Question
acn i feed my snake in the tank and how long do i leave the food in for him to take it

Answer
Hey Shane

I would advise against feeding in the tank. This can lead to your snake mistaking you for food when you go to open the tank.

I don't know if you are feeding live or frozen/defrosted from the question but I'll answer for both. If you are feeding live, you should NEVER leave the snake unsupervised while the rodent is in the feeding tank. Your snake can get seriously hurt if the mouse/rat catches on to what is about to happen. If the snake shows no interest within 10-15 mins, take the mouse out and try again later. Frozen/defrosted in my experience has to be waved around in their face to get them to go for it. They are after all used to live even though they don't need them alive. Leaving it in the tank for the snake to find it means that the mouse might never be found and will start to decay the minute it reaches room temperature. If your snake will not take the mouse after you have offered it for about 5 mins, throw it away.
