snake injury

i have a ball python hes about a year old hes about 3 feet long he hasn't eaten in 3 weeks and he recently just got lost in my car and i got him out the same day i lost him,  ever since i took him out the car there is a bump the side of his belly but i put him in the water today and he swam perfectly does somebody have any ideas what this bump could be and if anyone knows why he hasn't eating in almost a month

Hi Veronica,

The bump could be a number of things.

One could be just a swelling from a tight squeeze.

Another may be that it had it, and that you never noticed until you lost him/her in your car.

It could also be from an exposure from a really hot surface like the motor or muffler.
