my cockatiel is having nose bleeds and holds his head on a side the vet gave him some antibiotics and said cause hes eating drinking and has waste hes ok, is that ok

If he is still eating and drinking, that is a good sign. The problem with birds, is a lot of the time they won't show their symptoms until they are too sick to be helped. Because you found the nosebleeds, and you are having him treated, then he sounds alright to me.
