corn snake eggs & mother

Question
I bought my female corn snake not expecting that she was expecting. This is the first snake I have every had. I am worried about the eggs and the mother, she has not eaten in 3weeks, and I'm not sure what to expect her to do with the eggs if anything at all. She was very loving and continues to be loving when I hold her regardless of the eggs. Please help, I love my snake, but was quite unprepared for eggs.

Answer
Do not worry about her not eating. They often do that when they are gravid. Do you want to try to hatch the eggs? If so, I can tell you how, but it will take some work on your part (incubator, vermiculite and / or perilite). If you do not want to hatch the eggs, then let her have the eggs and remove them as they die. As described in my profile, I am not a breeding expert, but I will do everything I can to help you. Due to the time sensitivity, please contact me / reply directly at kogle@petsafe.net.
