Boa Constrictor Feeding

I was wondering if you can harm your Boa by feeding it too large of a rat? Also, when they are digesting their food, is it better to have the heat lamps directly on? or off?

Hi Joelle,

The prey size should be equall to the mid body girth. If your feeding live prey you should always watch your snake till it is completely done with swallowing.

As far as the heat lamp, as long as you have a hot spot at all times foe your snake to go to it does not matter.
