shipping a snake

I have a reptile rescue in Pa. and a women in Texas wants to ship me her 8ft Python and needs to know the best place for shipping them safely and non-traumatizing.

The best place to ship animals is through Fed Ex Priority OVERNIGHT directly to her door. Live arrival can only be guaranteed when temperatures, in route, are between 35-90 degrees. FedEx can help with packing materials ( depending on where you are shipping him to you might need a disposable heat pad which you can get at a reptile speciality store).  Also...an 8Ft Python will cost much more than say a 3 foot kingsnake.  Just about all shipping company's charge the same for live animals.  Hope this helps and thanks for writing :-)
