Ball Python shedding

Question
i have had a ball python for about 1-2 1/2 months now and I think it is a pastel but i'm not sure. Wen I got it, it was in the middle of shedding. The snake wouldn't shed. So after about 3 weeks i called the place were i got it from and they said to put it into a container with wet paper towels overnight. So i did it did end up shedding but not in one piece. The only thing it did not shed was its head. I figured it would have shed so i left it. It still hasn't shed it head. What should it do?
Also how do i give the tank humidity?
How do I tell what type of python it is?I think its a pastel not sure though.

Answer
Hello Steven,

Mist in the tank once a day, usually in the morning when the tank is just heating up. This will help with the humidity levels. Another great thing to do is if you have an open screen style top, you can cover three quarters of the top with a piece of plastic with several hole drilled in it. This will help maintain the humidity as well as keep some of the heat in too.

As for the shed it should come off at the next shed. Once you follow the direction I gave to you it should loosen it up and he will get it off before the next shed comes.

As far as what morph he is, is something you will have to look up. Visit my website, I have some pictures of a couple different pastels. It www.ballpythonplanet.com

Hope this helps,
