Question
I have a burmese granite python - she is 3 years old and 8 foot long - she eats very well and seems to be very healthy - today when i was handling her i noticed that her throat was puffed up really big - when i touched it she spit up a clear thick liquid - what could this be or mean?

Answer
It could be a sign of a respiratory infection. The only way to know for sure is to visit a reptile vet. I would do this as soon as you can because reptiles are somewhat delicate when it comes to illness and can go downhill fairly quickly if you ignore a potential problem. Good luck.
