QuestionMy son has a pink tail boa. How can he tell it's age?
AnswerHow long has he had it? Most youngsters that are bought are between 2 months and 7-8 months in age. At birth they are about a foot and a half long and probably will about double his size in the first year. In 3-4 years it could reach full size. (The rate on which they grow will vary with species. Red-tails take about 5 years.) Boas typically get about 8 feet, though depending on the type may get longer. Best thing to do is ask the breeder or pet store which you got it from.
