both of my snakes have eye caps that wont come off my python has had them from when i first purchased him his about a foot long eating 2 mice in one sitting and my boa right eye has a cap or it looks like one can u tell me the cause of it and what i can do to help my snakes also my boa doesnot eat offten is that normal thans

Hello Shawn,

Eye caps are ok, as long as it is not affecting the snakes eating. A way to try and get them off is to spray in the tank everyday with having a piece of plastic with some holes drilled in it to allow some air flow covering 2/3 of the tank.

The next shed should remove these with this way set up. If it does not you can carefully, after a good soaking try and catch the cap with yoy fingernail and pulling or picking it out. Please be very carefull if you are not you can damage the eyes.
