Introducing new snakes

Question
I have a Ball python that is almost two feet long.  I am wanting to introduce another to the tank.  How are they going to react to each other?
Is that wise to have two living together all the time?  Or should i have the mate in a seperate enclosure until they are ready to breed?
 Thanks

Answer
Hi Jessika,
I assume that you are introducing a male / female pair if you are planning to breed them. Generally, it is not a good idea to house any 2 snakes together in the same enclosure. There are risks involved. If you do decide to go through with it, make sure that you feed the separtly, that they are about the same size, and that they are of the same breed (I am assuming that this is also a BP). If you want to make it as safe as you can for both snakes, the best idea is to have them together only to breed.
