Question
i have tried feeding my snake guppies and rosies, which it seemed to refuse. So i tried crickets, the first feeding it ate them without a problem but the last 2 feeding the snake hasn't eaten. Now it seems to be weak moving slow and just lying there. Is ot going to die? what should i do?

Answer
Hes probably not doing well if he is acting like that. Most garters I've had, have always had hearty appetites regardless of the time of year. You can try a pinkie mouse, live preferably if he liked the crickets. I normally don't suggest live, but I find with things that already eat live won't readily take dead things especially if he isn't feeling well in the first place. You can get a frozen one to see, who knows he might like it.

Keep a few rosies and crickets in their with him just so he has access whenever he wants. Try the pinkie as well. It may just be the time of year or he may truly not be feeling well. Make sure to keep the tank around 70-74 degrees to see if the warmth will help perk him up. You can take him to the vet and get him tube fed, but that is up to you.
