Question
My first corn snake was a adult sold to a pet store. AGE/GENDER unknown. I had Loki a little over 3 years. One day he refused food. week later, he could not keep water down, he'd drink, and it poured out. the "expert" put a tube down his throat force fed watered down canned puppy food. Died a few days later. "expert" had no clue what was wrong. Big boy is a male corn snake, I've had him since he was a hatchling. He's over 2 years old now. He had a full shed. refuses to eat, but extremely active. temp/humidity is constant, since I've had him. I have no vet clinic that I can bring him to. It's only been 3 weeks. loki was dead, in less than a week. I worry. Any suggestions, of anything I can do? Anything I should watch out for? THANK YOU!

Answer
ANY, repeat, ANY vet can perform a fecal float test to check for parasites.  They may not see/treat snakes but they can do that so that you know what you're dealing with.  Take a fresh poop sample in to them and request the test.  Once, you have a diagnosis (not something I can do via the internet-a. because I'm not a vet.  b. because I can't examine your snake or his habitat; then I might be able to help you find a vet willing to consult with your vet so that you can treat the problem yourself.  I do most of my own treatments-but I still need a vet to get me the meds.
