How much do you feed a 15 inch boa

We are the proud parents of a red tail boa. The pet shop owner told us to feed him 2 mice every week? According to my research on the web, it is way too much, since we do not want to power feed him. How much should I feed him and how often?

Hi Isabella.  Yes...2 mice a week is TOO much.  Once a week is fine for now and future feedings.  YOu didn't mention what size mice you are feeding.  As he gets bigger, which he will surely do :-), you will move up to larger mice or small rats.  Good luck and thanks for writing.
