Problem with our corn snake

Question
We have a captive bred corn snake, he's been with us for seven years since birth. He hasn't eaten for about two months, not worrying in itself as we know snakes can do that, but he has recently become shrunken, we can see his spine and ribs clearly, like the muscle has just wasted away. Our vet has been no help as they have such little experience and knowledge of reptiles.

Answer
Not really sure what your question is if you're asking what may have caused the not eating it could be any number of things.  If you're asking how to fix it that could be just as many solutions.  I don't know what state you're in or how cold it is there at the moment sometimes opening a window by the cage can stimulate eating or just moving the enclosure.  Offering another type of food is another option or an appetite stimulant like metronidazole mixed in with the drinking water could work that would also work if the snake had a low level internal parasite.
