Question
OK i figured i could only breed with other ball's but that is ok i'm not into breeding right know but its something i'm looking to do in 2-3 year's from know maybe a bit longer but nothing anytime soon i'm only 12 i don't have enough money to support a hole lot of ball's how many would a female lay like how many egg's or do they lay live young i think its egg's correct? How many do they lay? I would definatly do my research before breeding! My snake is not agressive he has bite me 3 time's in the past 1 or 2 time's because he was hungry and the 3rd time i think he was just having a bad day of course there nocturnal so he was most likly grumpy to. I've had him for 3-4 year's and that is about the age he is he was about 3 months old when i got him i think he was underfed a bit but let me tell ya he's a chubby guy know :). He's in a 33 galleon tank he's about 3 feet long or a bit shorter from my guess he's about 2-3 pound's he's not agressive. My set up is nice i'd like to get some fake plant's in there to make it a little more private which i will get i try to keep is as dark as possible in there at night time and as light as possible in the daytime i use all natural sunlight not bulb's my snake is not used to handling i used to ignore him for 2 year's of his life but know i handle him 3-4 time's a week or more it doesn't seem to stress him out he's eating just fine he's never rejected a mouse/rat unless he was just going into shed and that was only once he's been eating fine after i've been handling him he's healthy anything else you'd like to know? For henry i ususally keep him in a bathe for 15 minute's i usually set up the table with a hide spot a nice warm towel so he can dry himself off when he'd like to and a large dish he seem's to be outgrowing are largest dishes and i have small aqurium's but henry get's nervous when the dish is to high he like's something he can crawl out of unfortunatly a bathe tub he can't do that so i'm going to ditch the bathe tub and if possible try and get a larger dish! A clean cat litter box would work excellent of course a non used one! I'll get one of those i suppose!
Hi there, you cant breed your ball python with a corn snake, royals can only breed with other royals. I suggest joining some forums and doing an awful lot of research before breeding royals. They are not a good snake to start off with breeding and you may end up with a lot of non feeding snakes so please make sure you do your research. Royals can be stessed out by too much handling so a few times a week is ok as long as he is feeding well. If he goes off his food then reduce the amount of handling. It's good that he's not aggressive! With the bathing, its best to keep the water shallow as snakes can drown! Also never leave him unattended just incase and don't bathe him for too long, 85-90F sounds like a good temperature for a bath. How long have you had him and what's your set up like? Hope to hear from you soon. Take care

Answer
It's great that you are going to do your research and that hes very healthy.Sounds like you have had him quite a while and hes happy and eating well :o) What heating do you use and what are the temps in the hot and cold end? As regards to the breeding information, I haven't bred royals so I am not sure but do a search on the net or see if you can get hold of a few books. Look for a forum where there are other breeders as you will be able to learn a lot from them. Good luck
