colo redtail and burmese get along

I have a 3 foot long colombian redtail boa, i am interested in getting a burmese python. I was wondering if they can live in the same cage together? The python i s about 1 foot long.

Hi Nikki...you can indeed house them together.  But you will need to make sure the new python you are thinking of getting is quarantined for a least a month before putting it together in the same cage as your boa.  Reason being is these two snakes can carry "species specific" diseases that can be passed onto the other.  Once you are certain your new python is free from any illness you can put them together.  Also make sure you have a large enough cage because as you know, both these snakes can get quite large :-) Good luck and thanks for writing.
