IBD?

we took our redtailboa to the vet and with out blood work done she was 99% sure he had IBD  she said as long if he is still eating its ok  how do you know if a snake is in pain?

Well it's actually pretty hard to tell if they're in pain..

Pretty much how you can tell is if they are acting different then they usually do..

Such as, not eating, barely moving, slowness of tongue flickering, and possibly seizures.

How long have you had him?
its my sons snake and he has had him for 2 years we also have a 6ft redtail and a little corn snake which do seem fine they are in different rooms and i have always stressed about washing his hands before and after touching any reptile. Also he has started to have a odor to him whats that? we are letting our son make the decision on whither to wait or not wait the doctor also said it could go   in to remission   thank you for your time.

Do you know where it's coming from?

I'd check its cage and see if it might have went potty..

If not.. Check to see if he looks like he's going into shedding stage..  Best way to see is if his belly is turning into a pinkish color..

If not it never hurts to check up with a veterinarian.
