Question
i have a few questions 1. he has just shed his first skin but there is still a bit of hes old skin on the tip of his tail what do i do? 2. i have had him for anbout a month but he is still very scittish how do i get him to feel safe? thank if you can respond asap that would be great.

Answer
Baby snakes are always skittish. It's a natural instinct because they have many predators in the wild when they are young. Giving him time is the best thing you can do.

Regarding the stuck shed, make a small hide box out of a plastic margarine container. Cut a small hole in the side for him to get in and out. Fill is with damp sphagnum moss or damp paper towels, and put on the cool end of his cage. He should seek it out for the humidity. Make sure that it's moist inside whenever he's in a shed cycle. For his tail, you can take a damp paper towel and gently rub the tail until it comes off.
