QuestionI have a female red tail boa and wanted to get a male. The female is almost
1yrs old, and I was wondering how to introduce the two and if it's a good idea or
a safe idea?
AnswerHey Shaun
Always be careful when introducing opposite sex snakes, as you may end up with a pregnant snake and no where to incubate the eggs. She can also end up with a myriad of problems with the pregnancy.
When you want to get another snake and introduce them right off the bat, then they need to be within about 4-5 inches of each others length. Most snakes will be pretty chill with other snakes but I wouldn't leave them alone to begin with.
