Question
would it be harmful for my corn snake to be put into a terrarium with pine shavings as the substrate? also, when feeding a snake inside a different container, do you just take it out, feed it, and then put it back in its tank right away, or is there other important steps?

Answer
I've never used Pine myself. From what I've heard, it's not good for snakes because it can give off vapors which can cause respiratory problems. For feeding outside of the tank, you have it right. You can return the snake as soon as it swallows it's meal.
