Question
k a couple days ago i was holdin my python an she crawled down my leg and as i stood up i accidentally stepped on her head an she looked ok and was still active  but todday i noticed that her eyes are silver.. i know there eyes turn colors when they shed but i've had her for awhile and her eyes never turn that color. did i permanently damage my snakes vision???

Answer
I can't answer this question for sure unless i actually see the snake itself, this may be just a shed and nothing to worry about but it may be a serious problem so my advice would be to go straight to a vet.

The bones in a snakes head are very fragile and can easily be broken and cause severe damage. Unfortunately, with a lot of these injuries the snake is untreatable and the best, or only option is to humanely euthanize the snake.

As i said before, it may just be a shed that's due, but under the circumstances it's certainly better to be safe rather than sorry. Don't wait and see if she sheds, go to a vet and get her checked out A.S.A.P.

I hope for the best,
