eye caps

My daughter had got a redtail boa when she got her they said she is 4. She had a cap on one of her eyes, she has shed a couple of times and now has caps on both eyes, is there a way we can get them off with out hurting her. and is there a way to tell her age she is about 5 or 6 ft long. hope you can help thank you sherri

Soak the snake in warm water for about 10-15 minutes and then using tweezers carefully grasp the edge of the eyecap and try to tease it loose.  You could even apply a wet cloth to the eye to try and losen it up.  DON'T force it.  See a vet if you need help.
