Question
My corn snake has just died and i don`t know why,he was about 2 months old,he seemed fit and healthy when i was handling him last night but tonight i noticed he had not moved for a few hours so i took him out of his viv to check him and found he had passed away, his body is bloated, could you please give me a reason why this should have happened, also he has never shed his skin since i have had him,he was sharing a viv with another corn from september hatching.

Answer
I'm sorry for your loss. I cant tell you why your snake died. Only a vet could do that with a post mortem. Don't get any more reptiles until you find out that it is nothing infectious. Just for the future, corn snakes shouldnt be housed together as they can stress each other out or even worse, one could eat the other. I'm not sure if it was just in the shop or if it was at home he was housed with the other corn. Hopefully your vet can give you an answer that will put your mind at rest.
