Question
i recently aquired a male and female cal king from a freind they are about 1 1/2 ft long dont know the age.i have been breeding ball pythons, burm pythons, viper boas and gopher snakes but never had a king snake how big do they have to be to breed is my ? if you could answer that for me i wuld really appreciate it thank you very much

Answer
It's hard to say how old they are because their growth rate depends on how much or little they are fed, but a rough guess would be about 2 years old. Most kingsnakes grow to be about 4-5' in length. So my guess is that if you feed them well you could breed them in Spring 2010.
