Questionmy california king snake has not been eating for about 2 or 3 weeks. we noticed that she has some brown crust around her mouth and a few spots on her underside. im getting really worried and your answers as to why this is happening would really be appreciated, thanks.
AnswerIt's hard to say exactly. The brown spots on the underside make me think that maybe the snake's substrate is too wet. However, the mouth crust sounds like "mouthrot", which requires medicine from a vet. So unless the substrate is obviously too wet to you, I would take the snake in to the vet as soon as you can.
