Corn Snake not eating

Question
Hi Paul,
I've had my corn snake about 8 years now and never really had a problem with her until now. When i feed her she seems to have become aggressive. I mean she strikes but only as warnings not to eat. She always seems to be hungry but never wants to eat. About 3 months ago i changed her vivarium from a tank to a sliding glass door type, didn't know if this could be the problem but thought she would have settled in to it by now. Every time i try to get her out she shakes the end of her tail (like a rattle snake) and she has started striking at shadows. five had her from very very young and she has never been aggressive before.
Any ideas?

Answer
I've had similar problems with snakes before. I moved some of mine into cages with front sliding doors and they also seemed to become more aggressive, often striking the glass. I think that (maybe) these cages make them feel less secure. My snakes never really returned their calm ways, but I'm fairly certain that the change in habitat is what caused your snake to become a bit more aggressive. As a side note, make sure that the temp of the cage isn't too warm.
