Question
QUESTION: thanks for taking the time to read my question! I've had a baby king snake for 2 weeks and the first time I fed it she was fine and i tried to feed her 5 days later and she regurgitated, I waited another 5 days and she ate the pinky just fine but this morning when I checked on her I saw the pinky on the side of her enclosure, its the second time that she doesn't keep her food down and I am worried! what should I do and how often should I feed her,and her skin looks a little dry and some of her scales are like scratch up, I would really appreciate if you give me some advice soon, thanks in advance,
         karla

ANSWER: She is sick.  And at her size it's probably bad.  Sorry to be blunt, but babies throwing up is never good.  Are these live pinks or frozen?  If they were frozen are you SURE they were completely thawed?  If live or if you're sure they were thawed, she might have a parasite problem.  In which case you'll need a vet.  Contact the person/store you bought it from and ask them for help.

QUESTION: The pinkies were frozen but thawed out and she was in a 20 by 12 inches enclosure and I moved her to a smaller tank, temperature is now 85 degrees in her new enclosure, do you think she was stressed? when should I try to feed her again?         thanks again, karla

Answer
I doubt stress has anything to do with it.  Extremely low temps might (like below 70), but more likely is some internal problem.  I'd wait at least 5 days between meals and try to get a poop sample (if she'll poop) to a vet for a fecal float test ASAP!
