Question
My gecko hasn't been eating for a while.  She is shedding constantly and that dea skin is now blinding her eyes (it's not thick over them).  So much that chs cannot see her food and we are now trying to feed her by hand.  My husband is telling me that the gecko might be getting older and there is nothing we can do.  Have you seen this before?

Answer
Hi Johanne,
Geckos have very long life spans...20 years is not unheard of.
With all the shedding, my guess is that you are not providing a humid hide for her which is necessary for them to shed properly.
You can take moist cotton swabs and gently remove the shed that is stuck.  You can also mist her or bathe her. In addition to a moist area of substrate which they like to burrow into, I recommend to also have a moist hide on the warm side of the cage.  It can be very simple...  You can make this with something as simple as a small plastic dish with a hole cut in one side and a small mesh bag filled with some Sphagnum moss coconut bark or Peat moss that you mist.
I made mine out of the small plastic folgers coffee containers...I cut an opening in the lid..and put the moss in..they LOVE it. I use the terrarium moss in mine.
Double check your temperatures as when a correct temperature zone is not provided, they don't digest their goods properly. If she continues not to eat, A vet visit is needed to see what the cause is...she may have an overload of internal parasites. To find a vet that can treat reptiles:
