Question
i have had my ball python for about two years now. it seems that she will stop wanting to feed around winter months. she has stopped feeding on me before for a few months at a time. I am concerned that there might be a problem with her. the only things though is that she has been very active for the past few months? any advice or suggestions to the situation?

  Phil,

It's mormal if your ball python is not eating in the winter months. All snakes eat once a month. So, there is not problem with her. It's good that she is active in the winter months. Unless if there was something else wrong with her. Than I would take her to a vet and see if there something else wrong. But it sounds like she has a great health. You really don't need to worry. It ok. I have snakes at my museum.. We only feed them once a month during the winter months. That's there normal feeding. So, if there anything else you need to know. I'll be glad to answer more of your questions. Thanks!
I hope to hear from you soon.

  Sincerely,
