Whats wrong with me Gecko, not eating, lump?!?! HELP!

Question
QUESTION: Okay, So I think my leopard gecko may be sick. I am not exactly sure how old, but I know it is an adult. I have had her 4 months. She has been extremelty healthy the whole time, nothing at all wrong with her, eating normally, etc. Until about 2 weeks ago, when she completely stopped eating. She has only eaten one worm within the two weeks, luckily she has a fat tail, and isnt loosing any weight, so I thought she was just going through a phase. Also, she shed during this time, and she did eat her skin. Also, during these two weeks, she had two small bowel movements. They were smaller than normal, but were completely normal, other than the size. But after she shed, she had a very small poo that was green with a very small drop of blood underneath is. I am worried about the colour, and the blood. Can u let me know about that? And another thing, Since the 2 weeks she hasnt eaten, she now has a very small lump on the outside of her mouth. It is the same colour as her skin, So I am wondering if it will just go away or not... I really dont know what is going on with her :S
She used to live on substrate, but now lives on paper towel. She has an Under Tank Heater, two hides, (one of them being a moist hide), a calcium dish, and water. She seemed perfectly healthy until this time.
My parents really wont take me to a vet at all, I have tried everything, and they say they dont want to drive 3 hours just to take a little leopard gecko to a very. I really dont understand, because I really care about my lizard, and am now really worried about her.
Oh ya, and she lives alone. Warm side is from 80-90, and cool side from 65-70. Yeah... and I give her vitamins along with the calcium.
PLEASE HELP! I am SOOO WORRIED! =(

ANSWER: Hello Jenny,

The blood could be worms or parasites.  If she was housed on sand previously, she might still be a little impacted, too.  It is not very clean when they live on sand, either so she most likely has worms or parasites that do need to be treated.  The green color can indicate parasites or amoebas or flagelletes which should be treated.
Can you post a picture of her too, so I can see the lump?
What do you measure the temperatures with?  Great you are using an undertank heater & a moist humid hide.
If she is not eating anything right now, you can begin to intervene with her eating by giving her some chicken or turkey babyfood to help her out.  You can mix the calcium in with it also.
Do you have a nearby local vet that you could take a fecal sample in to be analyzed so you could see what type of worm or parasite we are dealing with?

Let me know how she is doing.

QUESTION: Hi, okay, I will send you a picture of the lump, thanks :)
Sorry if its kinda hard to see... But its her skin colour.. :/
Also, I have no reptile vets close to me, only about 3 hours awat.. I am going to call the regular vet on Monday and ask them to do a fecal sample... Although, I do not know if I will be able to get one since my lizard isnt eating... The babyfood will cause a fecal sample... wont it? I hope so, thanks!

ANSWER: Hello Jenny,

Oh that kind of looks like mouthrot or a mouth injury or possible retained shed on the mouth area.  Can you get some betadine & dilute it down to look like weak tea.  Then, get a swab & try to clean out that area in the mouth in case it is retained shed or infection.
Yes, babyfood should help you get a fecal out of her!  :-))  The regular vet should be able to do a fecal with no problem.  How is she doing?
Please keep me posted on her.

QUESTION: Okay, I am going to get some betadine tomorrow :)! -- Thanks for help with the lump! I hope the vet I am going to can help! :) :) :) !
I am also going to get some babyfood tomorrow, hope it helps!
Oh ya, and btw, she ate a worm today at about 3:00, and she usually has feces by the next day.. So as long as she eats atleast one worm a day, and the babyfood, I think she should start eating again! I am really hoping she starts to get better.
And for as how she is doing... She is acting normal, alert, bright colour, etc... Is there something that could have caused having all of these problems at once..? Because they all seem to have started at the same time, lump on her mouth, blood, green feces, I really dont know what is going on..
But anyways, thanks for all of the wonderful help, your messages have persuaded (sp?) my parents to atleast take her to a non-reptile vet!
Thanks again,

Jenny! :D

Answer
Hello Jenny,

I hope that the vet can help also.  If it is mouthrot or an oral infection, she will need antibiotics.
She could have injured her mouth on something, or a feeder might have bitten her possibly.  If she had any retained shed around her mouth that has gotten stuck that could cause irritation to the point of an infection also.  Can you think of anything that she could have bitten on or hurt her mouth on?  Do you think a feeder could have bitten her?
The betadine should help to begin cleaning out the mouth if there is any infection starting on the gum area.
At least she is still alert & has good color, hopefully there is no infection yet.
Yes, if she will eat at least 1 worm & some babyfood daily, that will yield a decent fecal.
If she has parasites or worms, that would cause the blood in the stool, the green stool etc.  However, if she has suffered some type of mouth injury or there is an infection of some type in her mouth that is enough to increase her parasite or worm levels simply from stress.
Reptiles are very sensitive to stress.  Anytime something as simple as an injury occurs, even if they do not appear to be uncomfortable, it can be affecting them.  Stress increases their parasite & worm levels past the normal levels & that will make them sick.  Reptiles don't always show sickness or disease until it is usually too late.  So, your quick action should easily get her back to health relatively fast.
I am happy to hear that your parents have agreed to get her to the regular vet at least.
Please let me know what the fecal results yield.  There is one medication that absolutely should not be given to your gecko, & that is Ivermec or Ivermectin.  It can be completely toxic & could kill her.

Let me know how things go!
