Question
Hi, I recently lost my male leopard gecko, and him and my female were in a pretty large tank. I would like to put another animal in there and would like to know if I could place a crested gecko in there. I just want to know if that would be fine for the crested gecko. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Nicholas,
Sorry to hear about your male leo.
Sorry, the two cannot be housed together as that their care is different in many areas, including temperatures(leos require a much warmer "basking" area), humidity(the crested requires a higher humidity which can harm the leo) and cage set up...cresteds are arboreal(climbing) and leos are ground dwellers.   Of course diets are different also.
Even if you get another leo, there is no guarantee that the female will allow another leo into what is now her space. One thing about leos, they do very well (if not better) living alone as does the crested.
