Question
hi, i am Lynn. this is the first time being frilled dragon keeper and the condition of my dragons not doing well. he started to stop eating 10 days ago and could not open his eye. i think he caught an infection on it. I've tried to soak it into warm water everyday but the condition did not recover as well. i would like to try to apply saline solution on it but is normal saline solution is it suitable? if not i would like to know what can i suppose to do? if anyone knows the solution please do not hesitate to reply me. thank you

Answer
Hello Lynnette,

What type of saline solution is it, for contacts?  If so, that is fine.
Can you post a picture of his eye?
What type of substrate do you use, & what do you think the initial cause of infection was?
Usually, just a regular sterile saline solution will do.  Also, there is an eye ointment called Terramycin that you can buy here:

That usually helps a lot.
What type of lighting are you using?  Do you use a UVB light & if so, what type & brand is it?  A florescent tube or a compact/coil light?
