What should I do?

Question
I found a Texas Spiny Lizard in our driveway the other day. It was not moving and it was freezing, but it was alive.(It was a cold day) I took it inside and tried to warm it up. When I took a closer look at it, it had a small cut on it from where one of our cats had scratched it or something. (We have three cats)
My options are:
A) Let it out into the wild and risk it being frozen or hurt again by a cat
B) Give it to my teacher, who is experienced in caring for animals and has a lizard of her own
C) Something else
What should I do???

Answer
Since there is someone you know who has more experience with it I would send it with her. If it was not injured I would suggest you release it but it may need vet care or rehabing so I think you should ask your teacher if she would mind taking the little guy and helping him get well enough to be released.
I hope this is helpful to you, please let me know how he does.
