Question
Are there snakes that are able to consume adult humans? I know some are able to eat small children. If so, would it be dangerous to be around human eating snakes?

Answer
Anacondas, Reticulated pythons and Rock pythons all get big enough to eat adult humans.  The barrier I have have always heard is about 23 feet.  Once they are that big the head is usually wide enough to handle average size adult shoulders.  Now a 12 footer could kill an adult if it surprised them and got real lucky w/ the strike and the coil, but it couldn't comsume them.  My personal recommendation is not be to alone w/ any snake over 12 feet. I have a 14 foot retic which I do handle, but never alone.
