um do i need to keep my leopard geckos light on at night?

and how would i tame my leopard gecko?

Answer
 Leos are nocturnal and prefer a darker environment to become active. Using a moonlight is better than a red or blacklight and use a ceramic heat emitter on a rheostat for a good regulated warming.

 The only way to socialize your gecko is to handle it every day (evening) for at least twenty minutes or until he stops squirming and relaxes, and nice treats of insects other than usual fare will encourage your leo to look forward to handling. Never pick him up from above because that is what predators do. always scoop from below.
