Question
can red eared turtles lay eggs that have not been fertilized and can those eggs can still hatch

Answer
Yes/yes (but rarely).  Parthenogenesis, the asexual act of a female animal fertilizing her own eggs has been seen in reptiles.  It is extremely rare but there are documented cases.  Most likely your eggs will not hatch, but it never hurts to try!  BPC
