Question
Hello, i have an about a year old leopard gecko (i am not sure whether it is a male or female) and i recently upgraded its cage size. i used to have a ten gallon tank for it, but it seemed like it was getting too small, so i bought a significantly larger one. My gecko ate the night i got him the new cage, but for almost a week now, he hasn't been eating. He might have eaten one cricket but i didn't notice. In the cage, i have a reptile carpet and new shelters. I am wondering if this change has made him confused and therefore he wont eat. Please help me and also if there is anything i can do to make my gecko's life more enjoyable, please let me know. Thank you

Answer
Well if the enclosure is of a significant size difference I would ask if you also upgraded the heating element to reflect the enclosure size as this is typically the culprit when reptiles go off feed. Also it could be that he is adjusting to the new enclosure as well. I would check the heat first and then get back to me with what it is at as far as temp and we can go from there.
