Baby Beardie Dragons

Question
Hi there, We bought 2 baby bearded dragons aged 7 weeks around 4 weeks ago and they are comming on fantastically growing shedding and genrally being the little critters they were born to be. Obviously as it is so hard to sex babys we had no idea what the sexes were of them and hoped that we would have 2 girls (for the fact that we was told they didnt fight as much and males did) Now they have grown we have now found that my partners dragon is a male and mine is a female. His male keeps nibbling on her toes and genrally being a menace to her when he is hungry. It stops once we dd some crickets or greens. So we are not overly concerned as we will be getting a larger seperated tank with the next few weeks. But having read im wondering if food is all he is hungry for now the pores have started to show and also mainly out of curiosity (i am not a breeder and have no intention to become a breeder) If as brother and sister we was to get a clutch (we was told the hatchlings would be vastly deformed)how bad is the deformity amongst them? i have tried to seek information on this and got no where and being curious about these beautiful reptiles would love to know?

Answer
Please get them separated as soon as possible for the sake of your little one's toes!  Even if you have to get a Sterlite or Rubbermaid bin and set up a light over her.  Usually puberty starts at 5-6 months old so this is just plain aggression.  If your bought them from the same petshop, consider them siblings and should never breed together.
