Is this a type of moni   Hi,
both of these I found at the toronto zoo. The lizard was from Australia, and the turtle was from the Americas.

Answer
The monitor looks to be a black tree monitor Varanus Beccarii, the turtle however I am not sure about it does look to be a snapper of some sort but it's shell doesn't look like an alligator snappers I apologize but I'm just not sure what species it is.
